Event Horizon 8 – Science Fiction evening at the Blind Poet, 6th June

Event Horizon 8 - 6th June 2016 at the Blind PoetEvent Horizon 8 – Science Fiction evening at the Blind Poet, 6th

The next Event Horizon is on Monday 6th June, at the The Blind Poet, West Nicolson Street, Edinburgh. This is two doors down from where Deadhead was and opposite where Deadhead Comics is. Start time, as usual, is 7.30pm, so come along and sample the fine ales, wines, spirits and ginger beer.

This month we have science fictiony stuff such as:

  • Prose from Andrew Wilson and Caroline Grebbell, reading from their stories to be published in Shoreline of Infinity 4 (sneak preview, folks!)
  •  Poetry from Jane Irina McKie
  • and live music from The Artists of Cat On The Howling Moon

Plus the Shoreline raffle, the banter, the beer,  and the bad jokes we’ve come to love and respect.

And finish the night with a major science fiction film on the big screen: Warning! Warning! This month it’s the classic Forbidden Planet. Bring ray-gun and strange noises.

A night of science fiction camaraderie.

“Welcome fellow travellers, to our Event Horizon.
Rest your weary bones, we’re only just beginning.”
