It’s back! We return with our summer holiday project where we ask you to write a short science fiction story up to a 1,000 words long. This year’s theme is:
PEACE
You can play with this theme in any way you want in time, space or elsewhere. Just make sure your story is a science fiction story.
If your story does lead us to real peace here on planet Earth, so much the better, and we will nominate you for the Nobel Peace Prize. In any case, the winning writer will receive £50 prize and the winning story will be published on the Shoreline of Infinity website in December 2025 and published in the following issue of Shoreline of Infinity Science Fiction Magazine.
The two runners-up stories will likewise be published. All winners will also receive a 4 issue digital subscription to Shoreline of Infinity magazine.
There is no entry fee, but you are strongly encouraged to order a copy of Shoreline of Infinity from our website, either to download a digital edition, or order a print edition. The current edition is available from Shoreline of Infinity 39. The last competition winning stories were published in Shoreline of Infinity 37.
You have 1,000 words, and you have up to Midnight 30th September 2025 (UK time) to submit your piece for peace.
